Job Description

SHERIDAN HANOVER, PA SHIPPING - BULK PACKER
1st Shift (8:00am-4:00pm)
Job Summary:
Package bulk and foreign shipments as instructed on the job jacket and process shipment through the company shipping system.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Pack product as required for shipment. Label cartons as specified by customer. Complete all necessary paperwork and enter transactions into workflow system in a timely manner. Demonstrate a working knowledge of shipping software, postal meters and the shrink wrap machine. Follow all required safety procedures such as: PPE, Ergonomics, etc. Perform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees. Assist with housekeeping in the Distribution area. Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Attention to detail Computer literacy Good reading comprehension skills Basic math and counting skills
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Previous Shipping experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Ability to stand in place for long periods of time. Sheridan is an Equal Opportunity employer.
