Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Packing Associate to join our bakery team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently packing baked goods, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with packaging processes, and experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Responsibilities Carefully pack baked items such as cakes, cookies, pastries, and other products according to specified standards. Operate packaging machinery and hand tools to assemble products securely for shipment or retail display. Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and proper presentation before packing. Follow all safety protocols related to the use of equipment like forklifts and hand tools. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with inventory management by tracking packaged items and reporting shortages or issues. Support warehouse operations by loading, unloading, and moving products using forklifts or other equipment as needed. Requirements Prior experience in packaging, manufacturing, or warehouse settings is preferred. Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools are highly beneficial. Experience operating forklifts or similar warehouse equipment is a plus. Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards is desirable. Basic understanding of packaging processes within a food production environment. Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
