Job Description

About Us Cleaveland/Price specializes in the design and manufacture of high voltage disconnect switches and switch automation products. The products that we offer are unique in design, and some include patented features. Products have been developed and tested in accordance with IEEE, ANSI, and NEMA standards for high voltage equipment. They are primarily used by investor-owned and public electric utilities and large industrial operations in substation, distribution, transmission, and generation applications. All company operations take place in a modern 218,300 sq. ft. multi-site facility situated on 20 acres east of Trafford, PA. The facility houses virtually all resources for product realization, including engineering, supply chain, parts fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly, and testing. Fabrication capabilities include laser and plasma cutting, CNC machining, CNC punching, and automated bending and forming. The company also utilizes specialized processes, such as MIG and TIG welding, friction welding, silver and tin electroplating, and silver brazing. Your Goal To support manufacturing operations by accurately reviewing documentation, staging, and loading outbound shipments. They are responsible for moving large materials with a forklift along with other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Your Responsibilities Responsible for handling various aspects of shipping including loading trucks and keeping accurate records. Move, stage, and organize large materials, finished goods, and pallets within the warehouse or shipping area. Verify shipment contents against packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping documentation to ensure accuracy. Keep shipping areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Assist with inventory movement and stock rotation as needed. Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies while operating equipment. Assist with other related tasks as required to meet business needs. Your Background High school diploma or GED required. 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling roles. Ability to obtain forktruck certification. Ability to safely operate or obtain certification on material-handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes. Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, packing lists, and bills of lading Basic computer skills for data entry, inventory tracking, or shipping systems Strong attention to detail to ensure shipment accuracy and prevent damage Willingness to follow all safety rules, OSHA regulations, ISO standards, and company procedures Physical Requirements Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25lbs. of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects that are 10lbs. Traverse the entire production floor. Ability to wear standard personal protective equipment (PPE) required while on the shop floor or in other work area where mandated (i.e. steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and/or other applicable PPE).
