What You Will Do:

Caterpillar's Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking talented individuals for Material Specialist roles. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Safely perform the material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies. Utilizing order pickers, reach trucks, and sit-down forklifts. Keep in mind, not all available positions operate equipment. Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing. Perform housekeeping functions as required and reports defects and need for repairs. Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

Experience:

Demonstrated longevity of at least six months in previous employment

Agility:

Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually, walk approximately 10 to 12 miles per day, sit, stand, squat, and bend over repetitively and consistently, throughout your shift with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be comfortable working on equipment at heights up to 30 feet in the air.

What You Will Get:

Starting wage is $20.96/hour plus $1/hour shift differential for third shift. Overtime opportunities paid at time and a half (some may be mandatory). Double time on the second worked day outside of the employee's regular workweek schedule. Medical, dental, vision and prescription benefits starting day 1. Company matches 75% of employee contributions on the first 6% for 401k. $.25/hour raises at a regular interval. Up to 15 days vacation, 9 holidays, 2 floating holidays and personal absence allowance (prorated based on start date). Shifts:

Actual shift availability varies week by week. Successful candidates will be started as soon as a position becomes available on their requested shift. Please note that this could mean a sizable waiting period before starting.
