POSITION SUMMARY
The Tank PreparationAssembly Technician is responsible for completing the final stages of production to ensure thermoplastic tanks and related products are ready for shipment. This includes cleaning components, assembling and fine-tuning sub-assemblies, and preparing finished goods through crating, palletizing, and labeling, all in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Proven experience in assembly and/or kitting processes. Proficiency in basic to intermediate shop math and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to escalate issues appropriately Ability to follow instructions accurately and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Physical ability to safely lift to 50 lbs. Positive and professional demeanor with the ability to work cooperatively with others. Experience operating warehouse equipment (or willingness to be trained).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with team members to meet or exceed monthly production goals. Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, quality standards, and standard operating procedures. Actively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives related to production efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery. Perform final cleaning of thermoplastic parts using vacuum equipment, degreasers, rags, and abrasive pads. Disassemble and reassemble products as required. Apply flame treatment to components using a heat gun while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Accurately apply labels and insert kits into products according to work instructions. Prepare and stage completed products for shipping. Assist with the construction of pallets and crates, and shrink-wrap products for secure shipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Demonstrate a strong team-oriented attitude within a performance-driven setting. Ensures punctual and consistent attendance and communicates schedule changes promptly. Attend company meetings and actively engage in team discussions and initiatives. Willingness to work overtime and take on additional responsibilities, including cross-training in other departments as needed.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Thoroughly clean parts by vacuuming plastic shavings and using appropriate cleaning agents, rags, and abrasive pads to remove debris. Perform disassembly and reassembly of products as required. Conduct flame treatment of components using a shrink-fast heat gun, adhering to safety protocols and wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Apply product labels and stickers accurately, following detailed work instructions. Insert kits into finished products in compliance with specified guidelines. Stage completed products for processing and shipment. Assist in constructing crates and pallets and securely shrink-wrap items for transportation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Primarily an office-based role with extended periods of sitting and computer use. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally and navigate stairs as needed. Visual acuity for reading and computer work, with or without corrective eyewear. Regular use of hands for typing and phone communication. Occasional standing at trade shows or events. Business casual dress in the office, business professional attire for trade shows.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Standard office environment. Occasional visits to the production floor and project sites as required. Team-oriented culture with a focus on collaboration and mutual support
