Job Description
The company is a 30+ year-old family-built business that supplies Mid-South schools with teaching materials, school supplies, school and office furniture, as well as prepackaged school supply kits. We are located in Memphis, TN. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Seasonal Warehouse Associate to join our team from June through October . The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to efficiently pick and pack products for shipment. Flexibility and a willingness to assist with various warehouse tasks during slower periods are essential. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Communicating effectively with Manager and fellow employees.
- Understanding and executing the picking/packing process.
- Communicate effectively with Manager to understand specific requirements. Example, allocation of product to our stores.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Maintaining high quality standards and minimizing errors.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in the picking/packing process.
- Resolving and/or mitigating operational issues by troubleshooting and using problem-solving skills
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma
- Previous picking/packing experience
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must have transportation to and from work
- Professional in appearance and manner
- Must have the physical strength and stamina required to lift and move boxes sometimes in excess of 50lbs
- Strong work ethic and a focus on customer satisfaction
