Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently selecting and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to support our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely. This position offers an engaging environment where precision, safety, and teamwork are paramount. Duties Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick customer orders according to specified requirements. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to OSHA standards and safety protocols. Load and unload shipments efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials during shipping and receiving processes. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks. Assist in inventory management by organizing stock, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records. Support warehouse supervision by following established procedures for materials handling and order fulfillment. Experience Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with order picking using RF scanners or similar technology. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes is essential; certification is a plus. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes. Previous roles involving shipping & receiving duties or materials handling are advantageous. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting on warehouse equipment. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and extended periods of standing or moving throughout the warehouse. This position plays a vital role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations through precise order picking, safe equipment operation, and diligent materials handling.
