Description Summary:

Ensure that all incoming boxed beef and combos from the Fabrication Department are properly sorted in designated area, properly stacked, properly stored at all times. This position is also responsible for picking product accurately at all times and conducted efficiently as per spec orders followed by placing picked product in loading dock area for further processing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs job according to pre-established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures. Pull and stage orders accordingly to the scan gun and pull copy in the standard time required. Verify counts and quality of product. Quality inspection is essential. Sort and stack boxes on pallets from a conveyer as needed. Ensure boxes are safely stored in rack in a manner that preserves box integrity. Return damaged/mislabeled/mispacked cases to production daily. Follow set procedures for proper deletion of cases. Maintain organization of product in box cooler to facilitate proper rotation (first in-first out). Review inventory reports to ensure accuracy. Report discrepancies to supervisor. Ensures customer product freshness requirements are met (max days). Reports inventory that is approaching end of shelf life. Move these items to the freezer as directed by supervisor. Follow set procedures for flagging fresh product that is moved to freezer. Ensures products pending shipment are placed on the dock in an efficient manner. Maintain good housekeeping in the Freezer and Box Cooler area. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Ability and willingness to Forklift (standup/sit down) and obtain yearly certification. Ability to carry and move boxes between 30lbs-80lbs Ability to use hand scanner. Ability to prioritize effectively Ability to work in a cold environment. Be able to bend to pick up boxes consistently Be able to stand for long periods of time EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled and Drug Free Workplace
