Shipper & Receiver

Position summary The Shipper & Receiver will be responsible for all functions associated with material warehousing including picking orders, shipping and receiving. The Shipper & Receiver will perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of their abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism. This role is the gateway to a future career for an individual with the right motivation, drive and initiative.

Key Responsibilities General Duties:

Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO's customers so they will want to do repeat business with ECCO Maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees Read and comply with ECCO's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures Read and comply with ECCO's Human Resources Policies and Procedures Assist in the success of ECCO's Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work Adhere to shipping and receiving policies, procedures and regulatory compliance procedures Complete a daily pre-shift forklift inspection at the start of every shift Fill all orders as quickly and accurately as possible, checking both the item number and product description before recording on the appropriate papers Receive all manufacturing and resale products accurately in a timely fashion and in compliance with ECCO's receiving procedures Maintain the warehouse, receiving areas, and yard in a clean and organized manner; fill pick bins as necessary and as directed Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment Pick/ship goods to customers in an efficient and accurate manner Ensure proper documentation is supplied with each shipment; this includes packing, sealing, and labeling materials to prepare for shipping Record all damages and shortages and sign freight bills accordingly Fill out/prepare picking tickets Assist with loading trailers, preparing and shipping LTL orders as necessary Ensure warehouse is appropriately stocked at all times Report any maintenance requirements, accidents, incidents, and near-misses immediately to your supervisor Participate in all over time if required Participate in yearly inventory count Other duties as deemed necessary by Management Due to the dynamic nature of this Company, the duties and responsibilities may reasonably change from time to time.

Qualifications and skills:
