Job Description
The XCEL Group is looking for Warehouse Order Pickers for a produce warehouse and distribution center in Katy, TX. Order pickers will be working in the shipping department, picking job orders, building pallets for shipping, and moving the finished orders to the shipping bays using electric pallet jacks (Walkie Riders). The company is a produce warehouse and distribution center that sends food to various restaurants, grocery stores, and other businesses - locally and on a national level.
WAREHOUSE ORDER PICKER SHIFT AND HOURS
This is a FIRST shift. Start time is 7 am and end time is until all orders are picked, there is no exact end time. 40 hours per week.
WAREHOUSE ORDER PICKER SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Efficiently pick customer orders Locate products using RF Scanners Retrieve orders according to quantity, size, etc. ensuring accuracy Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks Operate pallet jacks in and around the warehouse Wrap orders before loading on trucks Ensure that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped Keep records of completed orders Adhere to health & safety policies, GMP rules, and quality standards
WAREHOUSE ORDER PICKER REQUIREMENTS
Some requirements for this position include: Previous experience in Order Picking is required, minimum 1 year Previous experience in a food manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred Previous experience using electric pallet jacks (walkie-rider) required, forklift experience is a plus Must be able to work in a
REFRIGERATED
environment Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs without assistance They must be able to work at a fast pace, making repetitive motions, with efficiency and accuracy Must pass a background check Must pass a Drug Test Steel-toed shoes are required
PAY RATE
The pay rate is $17 per hour to start, depending on experience. Plus, opportunity to earn as much as $24 per hour with production bonus. •The Xcel Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
