Summary Join Houston Transload and Packing as a Commercial Packer and Crate Maker in the United States. In this role, you will be essential in preparing goods for safe export and domestic shipping by building sturdy crates and packing items efficiently. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver high-quality packaging solutions that protect our clients' valuable products. Responsibilities Construct custom crates using woodworking, fabrication, and power tools to ensure secure shipping containers. Operate forklifts safely to move heavy materials and finished crates within the warehouse. Assemble packing materials with precision, utilizing hand tools, sewing machines, and sewing skills when necessary. Measure and inspect materials with calipers and other tools to meet exact specifications. Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently. Assist in warehouse inventory management and stock replenishment. Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents during heavy lifting and machinery operation. Qualifications Proven experience with woodworking, fabrication, or manufacturing environments. Ability to operate forklifts and power tools safely. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and use of hand tools. Experience with assembly, crate building, or packaging is highly desirable. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods. Attention to detail when measuring with calipers or inspecting materials. Excellent teamwork skills and reliability.
