Job Description

Job Summary:
Help ensure customer satisfaction and plant efficiency by supporting production and packaging needs throughout the facility.
Schedule:
The schedule for this position can vary depending on business needs. Open availability is required to include weekends/holidays.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect and package fresh produce, such as blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, apples, etc. Safely utilize basic tools to sort, organize, and placing boxes on a pallet. Properly complete all required paperwork. Ensure accuracy and monitor quality of production runs. Maintain continuous production runs and machine efficiency. Maintain plant cleanliness through daily work-area cleaning and proper scrap placement. Perform additional job duties as required by leadership efficiently and safely. Adhere to all Company and Departmental procedures. Follow all Safety, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Procedures. rovides exceptional customer to both external and internal customers Must be able to identify poor quality issues with product prior to processing (decay, distressed, unripe, size and texture issues, etc.) and bring these issues to the attention of the supervisor to minimize shrink Must be able to accurately use a scale to measure quantities and weights as required by customer specifications Ability to work independently or in a team setting with other associates. Other warehouse duties as requested by supervisor Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift (approximately 7-10 hours) daily on concrete, wood, or vinyl surface. Must be able to walk up and down a flight of stairs as required by the job. Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stoop, squat, bend and/or twist to perform various job functions. Must be able to reach overhead, forward, back and down to perform various job functions. Must be able to have corrected vision to Be aware of surroundings and location of resources and tools needed; Read job related documents and perform various job duties.
Environmental conditions:
Must be able to work around noise and/or vibration generated by the truck and other equipment Must be able to work around fumes, dust, gases and odors and work in wet conditions Must be able to work in cold warehouse environments (33°- 56°F) as required by the job. . Must be alert and able to identify a safety hazard and report it immediately or, if directed, take corrective measures to prevent the safety hazard. Prior experience in a processing/production environment - at least 6 months Working knowledge of produce items (types, sizes, etc.)
