SUMMARY:
Packs products manually by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes but is not limited to the following: Maintains a clean and organized work area. Follows GMPs as outlined by company policy. Follow safety rules as outlined by company policy. May be requested to work in other production departments as needed. Assemble standard cartons and boxes using a tape gun and/or plastic bags. Inspects materials, products, and containers during and before packaging process. Inspects finished product for proper lot information. Make sure that the proper components and product items are being filled. Ensures the weight is correct. Ensures the correct count of product is being packed into cartons. Ensure that all containers are properly sealed. Place cartons, boxes or containers onto roller conveyors and/or pallets. Seals a shipper box for shipment by using a tape gun. Checks for correct information on LPN labels. Moves material by pallet jack, drum jack, and/or hand truck to assigned areas. Load heavy products into large containers/bins as needed. Completes required production-related paperwork. Assists with yearly inventory. Lift up to 50 lbs. Sweeps and keeps areas clean. Manually assemble boxes with the glue gun. Inspects product for correct country, correct lot number, and correct seal. Manually packs 10 envelopes into boxes for either the 10-packs, or the 60-packs. Arrange 10 envelopes into a box for the 10-packs. Place 10 envelopes into a box for the 60-packs. Ensures the correct count of envelopes is being packed into the boxes, and correct seal. Place filled boxes onto the roller conveyor and then use the glue gun to seal the boxes. Manually packs finished product into shipper boxes. Seals a shipper box for shipment by using a tape gun. Assembles boxes manually. Inspects bottles for leaks and check caps to be sealed in place. Place 2 to 4 bottles into each box. Checks to see if the boxes have 10 bottles and closes the box and places filled box into the roller conveyor. Receives material such as products and boxes. Inspects the Bars for a completed seal on both sides of the bar and checks the middle seal too. Check the edges of the bars for wrinkles on both sides. Pack 10 bars into a box. Unlabeled Boxes Place labels properly and not crooked on every box and place the box into the roller conveyor. Receives production materials such as cartons, boxes, etc. from lead person or machine operator. Assembles standard cartons and shipper boxes by using tape gun. Inspects finished product for proper information. Manually packs finished products into cartons. Arrange the products in a carton to prevent breakage or damage. Ensures correct count of product being packed into cartons. Places cartons onto roller conveyor. Manually packs assigned counts of finished product into shipper boxes. Places sealed shipper boxes on strapping machine. Operates trapping machine by pressing start/stop buttons. Places sealed/strapped shipper boxes on pallet with assistance from a machine operator or lead person. Labels outside of shipper boxes with country name, product name, and lot number. Monitors Thermo-Ramsey check weigher machine. Calibrates Thermo-Ramsey check weigher when necessary. Ensures that all boxes are properly sealed. Completes required daily check log report. Monitors hot glue box sealer machine. Ensure the correct number of envelopes are packed into assigned pack size boxes. Moves product from staging area to warehouse locations. Moves boxes of finished capsules into the sorting area. Feeds product and empty capsules into appropriate hoppers occasionally. Observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine occasionally. Pack special arrangements or selection of product. Inspect materials, products, and containers during and before packaging process. Make sure that the proper components and product items are being filled. Ensure that all containers are properly sealed. Advises the lead or supervisor of any problems with equipment or materials.

EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; or up to one to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write product name, country name, and lot number on shipper boxes. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees, lead person, and supervisor of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
