Retail Shipping and Packaging Specialist

NRVShipping is looking for a dependable, high-energy Retail Customer Service Associate to join our team. As the first point of contact for our customers in Radford and Pulaski, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service, handling retail transactions, and managing shipping logistics. We are looking for a "winning personality" who takes pride in driving sales and ensuring a seamless experience for every customer. •This is NOT a warehouse position. This is for front counter retail customer service. Attendance & Schedule Requirements Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position. Due to our small team size and time-sensitive shipping deadlines, we require the following:

Fixed Availability:

Applicants must be available to work full days during our operating hours.

No Schedule Flexibility:

We are unable to accommodate mid-shift departures, late arrivals, or frequent schedule adjustments. This role requires a consistent, guaranteed presence for the duration of the assigned shift.

Peak Season:

Applicants must be available for increased hours from November through January during our peak holiday shipping season.

Proven Track Record:

We are seeking candidates with exemplary attendance records in their previous positions. Key Responsibilities Assist customers with shipping needs, retail sales, and product demonstrations. Operate the cash register and POS system with high accuracy in cash handling. Perform small packaging work and ensure all shipments meet carrier standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment. Upsell services and products to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.

Requirements Experience:

Previous experience in cashiering and customer service in a retail environment is required .

Transportation:

Must have reliable transportation to cover shifts at both our Radford and Pulaski locations.

Physical Ability:

Must be able to lift and maneuver larger packages which could exceed 50 lbs.

Training:

A probationary training period will be conducted at our Radford location to ensure a good fit for the position and our customer base.

$13.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 18 - 35 per week Application Question(s): There may be days where you are scheduled in Radford but we need you to cover a shift in Pulaski the following day.
