Schedule This position operates on a day shift schedule, running from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. Role Overview As a Feeder/Packer, you will rotate between tasks based on operational demands. In the feeder capacity, you will supply paper blanks to machinery and handle sorting tasks. When acting as a packer, your focus will be on boxing clamshells or fry cartons, conducting quality inspections, and verifying that all items are securely glued. Key Responsibilities Supply at least four machines by lifting, pre-breaking, and loading product into hoppers to help maintain efficient production flow. Manage and sustain the operation of six formers simultaneously. Remove plastic wrapping from incoming loads and deliver production tickets to the machine operator. Oversee product quality by ensuring cartons remain aligned and clearing away any excess scrap material. Manage R.S.C. inventory levels to ensure case packers have the necessary supplies for continuous production. Uphold a clean and organized workspace to support a safe and efficient environment. Adhere to all established safety protocols, including GMP, PPE, HACCP, and JSA guidelines. Complete additional tasks as assigned by management. Catch and manage six lanes of product output. Extract items from forming chutes at designated count intervals. Perform essential quality checks to ensure defective items are identified and replaced with high-quality stock. Verify that products are correctly glued and packed in the appropriate quantities before sleeving. Document quality assurance results on required check-off sheets. Prepare and bag products after verifying quality standards are met. Place sleeved items into bags, load bags into cases, and transfer cases onto the conveyor system. Support machine operators by assisting with the cleaning of glue tips. Provide relief coverage for other packers during breaks and lunch, while assisting with labeling, repacking, and maintaining area cleanliness. Construct and label shipping boxes as needed. Replenish glue containers for machinery. Maintain a tidy work environment and coordinate with operators or supervisors regarding additional duties.
