Downsizing Packer - Field Assistant - Clean Out Specialist

About us Williamsburg Estate Services is a senior downsizing, home clean out, and estate sale company. Williamsburg Estate Services is looking for someone to join the home clean out team. Box truck driving, moving, packing, and customer service experience a plus. We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hardworking Clean out Specialist to assist with residential clean outs for clients who are downsizing, relocating, or handling a loved one's estate after a passing. This role involves physically clearing homes while treating clients and belongings with professionalism, compassion, and care. The ideal candidate is comfortable with hands-on work, making practical decisions, staying organized, and working respectfully in client homes. Responsibilities Pack and organize household contents including kitchens, closets, bedrooms, garages, attics, and storage areas Sort items into categories such as: Sellable Donation Trash/recycling Family keepsakes Carefully wrap and pack collectibles, antiques, artwork, china, décor, and fragile items Move and load boxes, furniture, and household contents Assist with full-property cleanouts from start to finish Maintain organized workspaces and label packed items clearly Help prepare items for estate sales, donation drop off, or disposal Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Communicate respectfully with clients, family members, and team members Identify potentially valuable or sentimental items and bring them to management attention Clean out attics, basements, sheds, garages, and storage units as needed Drive box truck or transit van Qualifications Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to lift and move furniture and boxes regularly Experience driving a box truck Good judgment and decision-making skills Comfortable working in emotional or sensitive situations Organized and detail-oriented Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license a must Experience with estate sales, moving, organizing, resale, antiques, or cleanouts is a plus Ideal Traits Compassionate and respectful Self-motivated Problem solver Physically active Trustworthy and discreet Positive attitude and team player Work Environment Residential homes, retirement communities, estates, garages, attics, and storage units Fast-paced, hands-on environment with varying daily tasks Warehouse, organized space for household contents Job Description Drive 16' box truck Move and load small/medium furniture Pack dishes, glassware, and housewares Must be comfortable making decisions on items for sale and donate Must interact with clients and customers in a professional manner Familiarity with the Williamsburg area is a plus Requirements Background check Valid and clean driving record Box truck driving experience Medium lifting a must Subject to random drug screening Benefits Paid time off Holiday pay Health benefits
