Assure that all products leaving the plant meet the applicable in-house and customer criteria such as dimensional, surface finish, etc. and that the contents of the shipment are complete. Performance of other tasks include - cleaning, packaging, and dimensional measurements. Position Responsibilities Responsibilities include but not limited to: Read and interpret specifications relating to product requirements and verify that all requirements are met before shipment. Inspect product to appropriate workmanship standards, work instructions, and/or other specifications.
Perform necessary record keeping/labeling:
weights, part numbers, lot numbers, serial numbers, sizes, amounts. Visually inspect part, complete required computer transactions; understand safety protocol for lifting and handling. Visually inspect all product/product packaging; ensure compliance with all customer/in-house requirements. Generate and review the Certificate of Compliance/Analysis (CofC/A), the Supplier Inspection Report (SIR) where applicable, the manufacturing traveler and all labeling for completion and accuracy. Check results of chemical analysis against customer and internal standards on all outgoing shipments. Recommend changes to processes and procedures, which will improve safety, quality, and efficiency While in a cleanroom environment, clean and package parts while maintaining integrity of Class 1000 protocol (wearing protective mask, suit, gloves, etc). Perform particle counts to ensure environment is clear of contaminants. Responsible for appropriate customer samples when requested and interact with machine shop personnel for information regarding correct size, alloy and lot number. Use packaging equipment such as bar sealers, electronic balance, cleaning racks, ultrasonic and argon/vacuum equipment. Performs daily job functions in accordance with policies from: EH&S, Quality, and housekeeping. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections and tests on products at various stages of the production process Follow quality control procedures and standards to ensure compliance Identify and report any nonconforming products or deviations from quality standards Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions You Must Have High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required. Minimum six months product inspection experience. Must be proficient with MS Office tools.
Additional Qualifications:
Requires the ability to interpret and follow an extensive set of customer and company specifications. Requires high level of attention to detail, focus, and accuracy while under tight deadlines Must possess good communication and team player skills to interface with various internal groups. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Adhere to work instructions, company & customer expectations, and standard operating procedure without deviation. Flexible and adaptable to cross train and perform/rotate the various tasks in the packaging department to meet business demand. Lift/carry up to 40 lbs with or without assistance Working Conditions Additional hours/shifts may be required. All employees are required to follow established Standard Operating Procedures and safety policies. We expect and require every employee to work safely. Personal safety equipment is provided for all employees. Approved Safety glasses and metatarsal boots must be worn in all production and laboratory areas. Appropriate cut resistant gloves are required when handling any metal products. Approved protective gloves are required when handling acids or chemicals. It is expected that all unsafe acts and hazardous conditions will be reported immediately. An Incident report must be completed immediately, within 24 hours, following any workplace injury, regardless of severity.
COMPENSATION
The annual base salary range for this position is $38,200 - 48,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities or the position, the candidate's work experience education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
