Part-Time / Flexible Packing & Production Worker

Small e-commerce business looking for occasional help packaging natural straw products.

Work includes:

Separating and preparing straw by hand Filling boxes and poly bags with straw Operating a hand-held pneumatic stapler to close boxes Simple repetitive production work Occasional lifting and moving of materials This is structured, independent work in a low-stress environment with repetitive hand and arm movement, frequent bending during some tasks, moderate lifting, and working with bulky and dusty natural materials. Some tasks require sustained arm and shoulder effort while compressing straw into boxes by hand. Most shifts are worked independently, and you will often be working alone in a quiet environment. You're welcome to listen to headphones while working. This is a casual, flexible position with varying hours. Shifts are generally 4 hours long, with scheduling worked around the applicant's availability. This position is intended to be highly flexible, and applicants are welcome to accept only the shifts that fit their availability. Morning and school-hours availability is preferred when possible. Some weeks may have several shifts available, while other weeks may have little or no work available. Hours are expected to become more consistent over time. The workspace is located on a quiet residential riverside property in the forest, attached to a private home. There is no nearby public transportation. Friendly dogs, cats, and ducks live on the property, though pets are not in the workspace itself. This position involves regular exposure to dust and small particles from natural straw products.

Requirements:

Comfortable with repetitive physical work Able to use hand tools such as a pneumatic stapler safely Willing to complete a background check (at our expense) Dependable and able to work independently No experience required. Training provided.
