Full Job Description Shipping Worker Summary:

The shipping worker has a versatile role working in multiple areas of FeraDyne's shipping department. A strong candidate will be able to work quickly to fill various orders, pick and scan products, label boxes and read and sort labels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Effectively use a scan gun to locate products
Read and scan pick tickets with great accuracy
Scan products and return product to bin
Pack products for shipment
Build LTL and truck orders efficiently
Confirm order and shipment information for accuracy
Place EDI labels

Cognitive Skills:

Basic reading skills
Basic math skills

Physical Demands:

Handle sharp cutting tools/objects safely
Operate forklift and pallet jack with training
Lift 25-50lbs. Push, pull objects up to 75 pounds (in a repetitive manner)
Ability to work mandatory OT as required Equipment used:
Forklift (once certified)
Pallet Jack
Objects with sharp edges
All necessary PPE (Personal Protective equipment) as designated by Division Manager Training will be provided :
On the job training
Basic Safety
Hazmat
General Orientation No prior experience necessary.

Strong work ethic and the ability to work all scheduled hours. Advancement available as you learn the various roles within the department. Hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, plus overtime as needed.
