Job Description

Project Procurement Manager - Anchorage, AK Worley Group, Inc United States, Alaska, Anchorage 3700 Centerpoint Drive (Show on map) May 12, 2026 Building on our past. Job Purpose:
The Project Procurement Manager supports the Project by providing senior, project level leadership for all procurement activities associated with a large scale, remote mining development in Alaska. The role is accountable for development and execution of the project procurement strategy, governance, budget control, and integration of procurement activities across engineering, construction, logistics, expediting, and supplier quality functions. This position leads the project procurement team and ensures materials, equipment, and services are procured in alignment with project objectives, execution schedules, Alaska specific supply chain constraints, and Worley policies and procedures. The Project Procurement Manager reports to the Alaska Supply Chain Manager and acts as the primary procurement interface with project management and the client. This is a full-time, non-rotational position, located at the Worley Alaska Inc. Anchorage main office, with potential for limited travel to Project Site. Hiring for this role is contingent upon award of the project and final client approval.
Essential Job Functions:
Procurement Leadership and Strategy Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific Procurement Plan in alignment with the Project execution strategy and Worley standards Provide leadership and direction to project Buyers, Expediters, and procurement support personnel Establish procurement priorities and strategies for long-lead, high-risk, and critical mining equipment and services Ensure procurement activities support early works, execution readiness, and phased project development Commercial and Governance Oversight Oversee commercial strategies, bid evaluations, and major purchase recommendations for compliance with project governance and authorization limits Ensure procurement activities comply with Worley policies, client requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks Monitor procurement commitments against project budgets and support cost control and forecasting activities Support resolution of complex commercial, contractual, and supplier performance issues Project Interface and Integration Act as the primary procurement interface with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and Project Controls Coordinate closely with Logistics to align procurement strategies with approved transportation and staging plans Interface with Supplier Quality and Expediting teams to ensure schedule, quality, and delivery risks are actively managed Represent the procurement function in project meetings and client engagements Alaska and Remote Mining Considerations Ensure procurement strategies account for Alaska-specific supply chain challenges, including seasonal access constraints, limited vendor availability, and extended logistics lead times Support development of mitigation strategies for procurement and supply risks associated with remote mining execution Promote effective engagement with Alaska-based suppliers where appropriate and in alignment with project objectives Reporting and Continuous Improvement Ensure accurate procurement reporting, forecasting, and status visibility for project leadership Drive continuous improvement of procurement processes, tools, and team performance Support development and mentoring of procurement personnel supporting the project
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of procurement and commercial practices for large-scale mining or major capital projects Demonstrated experience leading procurement teams on complex, multi-discipline projects Strong understanding of engineered equipment, construction services, and long-lead procurement strategies Proven ability to manage procurement risk in remote and logistics-constrained environments, including Alaska or similar regions Strong commercial judgment, negotiation capability, and governance awareness Ability to integrate procurement activities across logistics, expediting, quality, and project controls Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise procurement or materials management systems Familiarity with Alaska Native Corporations and experience engaging ANC affiliated suppliers on Alaska projects is strongly preferred

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience Typically ten (10+) or more years of progressive procurement experience, including leadership of project or functional procurement teams Demonstrated experience supporting large scale mining, energy, or industrial
EPC/EPCM
projects Proven experience developing and executing project level procurement strategies, including oversight of long lead and critical equipment packages Strong ability to lead procurement teams, exercise sound commercial judgment, and manage competing priorities in a complex, schedule driven project environment Valid driver's license and ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer
Preferred Qualifications:
