Job Description This position is responsible for issuing Purchase Orders, requisitioning purchases, and receiving supplies using Riceland Foods, Inc. purchasing system. This position also has the responsibility of buying from vendors, tracking supply inventory, supervising supply room staff, and helping other departments to find suppliers for the supply needs. Job Duties Issue and process purchase orders. Requisition purchase orders. Receive against Purchase Orders. Supervise Supply Room staff. Assist other departments with finding suppliers for their supplies. Must direct supply operations and personnel as need to ensure an efficient operation. Perform all duties safely and with others safety in mind. Other duties may be assigned as needed for efficient operation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervise at least three employees in the Supply Room. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, assist in hiring, and training employees. Also included is planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent preferred.
