This role is responsible for buying out awarded projects, negotiating supplier agreements, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring materials and consumables are delivered on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel fabrication and construction, be proficient in industry software such as Tekla Structures and Bluebeam, and possess excellent organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and estimates to develop procurement strategies. Perform complete project buyouts including structural steel, miscellaneous metals, decking, grating, connections, coatings, hardware, and subcontracted services. Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with vendors. Issue and manage purchase orders and subcontract agreements. Track material commitments and maintain procurement logs. Collaborate with estimating, detailing, project management, and fabrication teams. Review Tekla models, fabrication drawings, and Bluebeam-marked plans to identify procurement requirements. Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications and schedules. Assist with change orders, scope revisions, and procurement-related project issues.
