Responsibilities 1. Manages, oversees, assigns, plans, schedules, reviews, and inspects the work of staff for compliance with established standards, federal and state regulations, and District policy. 2. Reviews and analyzes schedules, work order completion, project costs, and department costs to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and costs are within budget allocations. 3. Manages the procurement process from preparation of quotes and bid specifications to ensure that suitable materials are acquired and delivered to schools and departments. Recommends award of contracts and prepare s necessary supporting documents. 4. Analyzes procurement history to leverage optimal purchasing power and maintains up-to-date departmental records identifying products, vendors, and pricing history. 5. Prepares and analyzes quotes and bids for specification compliance and ability of the vendor to perform. Recommends awards of contracts and prepares necessary supporting documents. 6. Directs and monitors inventory control, oversees the maintenance of the inventory systems, fixed assets, and the District document management system. 7. Establishes and coordinates systems for delivery of supplies, equipment, furniture, and mail to and among schools and departments. 8. Prepares and monitors department budgets. 9. Plans and coordinates phasing of future projects including all related moves of students, staff and materials. 10. Develops and maintains current department procedures handbook. 11. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of related work experience required. 2. The Bachelor's degree requirement may be substituted with four (4) years of increasing responsibility and varied experience in a K-12 setting. 3. Theoretical and practical knowledge related to purchasing, warehousing, and materials management. 4. Experiences demonstrating increased responsibilities over time, to include a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience. 5. Familiarity with applicable codes such as the California Education Code and Public Contract Code. 6. Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. 7. Ability to plan and direct the work of others. 8. Ability to write clear, concise directives, recommendations and/or decision memos. 9. Demonstrated organizational ability. 10. Ability to maintain physical standards to carry out job requirements. 11. Criminal Justice fingerprint/background clearance. 12. Possession and maintenance of a valid California Driver License.

$157,857.00 - $200,866.00 per year
