We specialize in product design, manufacturing, testing, licensing, and after-market services for the aerospace and defense sectors. Our primary products include hydraulic, fuel, and electro-mechanical systems for a variety of military aircraft platforms. Job Description Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Program Manager to lead program execution across multiple customer accounts. This role leads a team of Program Managers while maintaining direct responsibility for key customer programs, with a strong emphasis on procurement leadership, supply chain execution, and vendor management across new and existing suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, including sourcing strategies, vendor onboarding and management, and driving supplier performance, lead times, and cost control. Additional experience in government contracting, proposals, material planning, and managing complex aerospace supply chains is required to support program delivery. In this role, you will serve as a senior point of contact for customers and vendors, driving programs from contract award through delivery. You will be responsible for team performance, cross-functional alignment, and consistent on-time delivery, with a focus on supply chain performance and risk mitigation. Responsibilities Procurement & Material Planning Lead procurement activities Ensure POs include proper flow-down requirements and align with program objectives Drive supplier performance across delivery, quality and lead times. Vendor & Supply Chain Management Manage and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers. Drive supplier accountability to meet quality, delivery, and contractual requirements. Program Leadership & Oversight Lead and develop a team of Program Managers, driving accountability and performance. Ensure consistent execution of program management processes across all programs. Monitor program performance, including schedule and delivery metrics. Escalate and resolve high-level program risks, issues, and bottlenecks. Customer & Account Management Serve as senior point of contact for key customers, including government agencies and major defense contractors. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to support performance and growth. Proposal & Contract Management Oversee proposal development to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance. Review contracts and ensure proper flow-down of all contractual and regulatory requirements. Sales Order & Program Execution Oversee sales order processing, contract review, and program execution from order entry through delivery. Bill of Material (BOM) & Pricing Oversight Oversee BOM reviews for accuracy and completeness. Support pricing strategy through cost analysis and proposal development. Cross-functional Coordination Coordinate across engineering, quality, and production to ensure alignment and execution. Drive communication and accountability across departments. Risk & Performance Management Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and improve delivery performance.
Preferred Skills Procurement & Supply Chain:
Strong experience in sourcing, vendor development, and supplier performance management in an aerospace environment.
Leadership:
Proven leadership and team development experience.
Government Contracting:
Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS and defense procurement processes. Attention to
Detail:
High level of accuracy in contract review, procurement, and documentation.
Problem Solving:
Ability to proactively identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities simultaneously. Regulatory Compliance (ITAR, EAR, CUI): Working knowledge of compliance requirements.
Systems & Tools:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Pentagon 2000 SQL or similar preferred)
Direct Report:
Vice President Requirements U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or permanent resident) 7+ years of relevant experience in aerospace or defense (Bachelor's degree preferred) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to pass background screening Full-time onsite role (Mon-Fri) in El Segundo, CA Benefits Group Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans (after 90-day waiting period) Discretionary Profit Sharing (SEP-IRA) after 3 years of full-time employment Fifteen (15) vacation days per year (accrued) and five (5) sick days per year
