Duration:
12-Month Contract Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Strategic Commodity Manager IV to develop and execute long-term commodity strategies that support business growth, supply continuity, cost optimization, and competitive differentiation. This role will focus on managing OEM parts commodities and driving end-to-end sourcing strategies that align with the organization's 3-year business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and global supply chain operations, preferably within the semiconductor equipment industry. Key Responsibilities Commodity Strategy & Planning Develop and execute a 3-year commodity vision, strategy, and organizational roadmap for assigned OEM part commodities. Drive supplier expansion and consolidation initiatives to ensure optimal supplier portfolios that meet business requirements. Identify and support supplier investments in R D, capacity expansion, and technology development aligned with long-term business needs. Create strategies to improve commodity availability, quality, flexibility, and total cost of ownership. Supplier Management & Negotiations Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and complex supplier negotiations. Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts to achieve annual objectives related to cost, quality, lead time, and supply flexibility. Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers to ensure performance, reliability, and continuous improvement. Instill a culture of quality, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the supplier network. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Gain executive alignment and drive organizational adoption of commodity strategies. Partner closely with engineering, operations, manufacturing, procurement, and product management teams. Provide leadership and direction to global supply chain stakeholders while influencing decision-making across a matrix organization. Drive business processes that improve prioritization, responsiveness, and customer outcomes. Supply Chain Management Develop and maintain a resilient global supply chain capable of supporting increased production demand. Assess supply risks and make informed decisions in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Balance competing priorities while ensuring business continuity and supply assurance. Present strategic recommendations and business updates to senior leadership, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of professional experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or related disciplines. Strong experience negotiating complex contractual and commercial agreements. Extensive experience working with global suppliers and international supply chains. Advanced SAP experience. Demonstrated success operating within a matrixed organization. Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications MBA or advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of experience within the Semiconductor Equipment industry. Experience developing long-term commodity strategies and supplier roadmaps. Proven ability to influence executive leadership and drive organizational change. Strong understanding of supplier development, capacity planning, and strategic sourcing methodologies.
