Job Description

Summary :
The Procurement Manager is responsible for direct and indirect category management in support of Fior di Sole's bottling and wine operations. This role primarily focuses on dry goods procurement while also supporting additional categories related to winery operations. The Procurement Manager oversees end-to-end procurement and supply planning activities to ensure uninterrupted bottling operations. This position owns sourcing strategy, supplier relationships, dry goods inventory management, and the in-full availability of all materials and services. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong wine industry connections, a high sense of ownership, and the ability to lead cross-functionally with urgency, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

You Will:
Utilize internal demand forecast models to optimize buying strategies. Serve as the primary point of contact for all procurement matters supporting company objectives and operational priorities. Research best practices, stay current on industry trends, and maintain awareness of regulatory changes to ensure compliance and continuous operational improvement. Collaborate cross-functionally across departments, and organizational levels to achieve procurement goals and objectives. Own all company-wide procurement activities (direct and indirect), from sourcing strategy through purchase execution and issue resolution. Lead formal RFP processes to procure goods and services, including bid analysis, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and contract administration. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service agreements while tracking cost savings. Analyze supplier proposals and total cost to determine optimal sourcing decisions. Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure timely deliveries, quality standards, and contract compliance. Build and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for finished goods and packaging configurations while ensuring accuracy and change control in partnership with Operations, Winemaking, Finance, and Quality teams. Partner with bottling, marketing, sales, and production teams on packaging engineering initiatives, including specification development, packaging performance improvements, and component standardization opportunities. Own dry goods inventory management, including replenishment planning, inventory policies, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy. Develop and implement long-term procurement category strategies focused on optimizing total cost of ownership and operational efficiency. Go to production lines and identify any issues with dry goods as needed. Establish vendor performance KPIs including quality, responsiveness, and cost metrics; conduct regular supplier business reviews and corrective action plans as needed. Evaluate sources of supply by analyzing pricing, discounts, delivery schedules, freight costs, historical performance, and supplier financial stability. Lead, mentor, and develop Procurement Coordinators and other procurement support staff. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement systems, inventory accuracy, supplier management, and operational efficiency. Travel may occasionally be required. Other duties as assigned.
You Have:
5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply planning, and/or materials management within a manufacturing environment; wine or beverage industry experience strongly preferred. Established network within the wine industry across dry goods suppliers, packaging vendors, and third-party service providers. Proven ability to leverage supplier relationships to resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively. Experience managing procurement budgets, forecasting, and variance reporting including PPV tracking. Hands-on experience managing dry goods for bottling operations, including glass, closures, labels, cartons, shippers, and pallets. Demonstrated success leading negotiations, RFPs, and supplier selection initiatives with measurable improvements in cost, service, and quality. Experience developing and maintaining packaging specifications and collaborating on packaging design improvements and production line trials. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex operational and financial data. Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to process optimization and operational excellence. Strong knowledge of procurement systems, contract management, and purchasing best practices. ERP system proficiency including purchasing, inventory management, item master maintenance, and production/work orders. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Microsoft NAV BC. Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Position requires sitting and/or standing for extended periods throughout the workday. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work is primarily performed indoors in a professional office and winery operations environment.

The final salary offered will depend on several factors, such as the candidate's qualifications, education, and experience.
