A leading global technology manufacturer serving high-growth industrial and advanced electronics markets is seeking an experienced Head of Semiconductor Equipment Sourcing to lead a critical procurement function supporting wafer fabrication operations. This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an accomplished sourcing professional with deep semiconductor industry expertise and a strong track record of supplier management, commercial negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration. The Opportunity Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for front-end semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will play a key role in supporting capacity expansion, technology development, and long-term business growth while ensuring cost-effective procurement and strong supplier partnerships. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing sourcing team, influence capital investment decisions, and work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and manufacturing stakeholders to align sourcing activities with technical and commercial objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement sourcing strategies for wafer fabrication equipment in line with business objectives, technology roadmaps, and manufacturing capacity plans. Partner with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and finance teams to ensure sourcing decisions support technical requirements, operational goals, and budget expectations. Lead complex commercial negotiations with equipment suppliers, securing optimal pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and long-term value. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key equipment vendors to support innovation, supply continuity, and future growth initiatives. Drive supplier performance management through measurable KPIs, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead, develop, and mentor a sourcing team, establishing clear objectives, accountability, and professional development plans. Support capital investment planning and equipment procurement strategies for technology upgrades and manufacturing expansion projects. Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and mitigate potential supply chain risks. Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline. Minimum of 12 years' experience within semiconductor manufacturing, procurement, sourcing, or process engineering environments. Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes, including areas such as lithography, etch, deposition, metrology, or related manufacturing technologies. Demonstrated success leading strategic sourcing initiatives and managing complex supplier relationships. Proven ability to work effectively across technical, operational, and commercial functions. Strong commercial acumen with extensive experience negotiating high-value capital equipment agreements. Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills. Experience managing and developing high-performing teams within a global organisation is highly desirable.
