Nitto made its appearance in the Americas in 1968, and has since been providing services in increasingly broad markets: Electronics, Automobile, Aerospace, Housing and Construction, Metal Processing, Paper Industries, Alternative Energies, Appliances, Health Science, and more About the Role The Senior Buyer is responsible for managing the full procurement cycle, from reviewing requisitions and issuing purchase orders to ensuring on-time delivery and accurate documentation. This role works closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams-including Finance, Receiving, Warehouse, and Trade Compliance-to resolve discrepancies, support customs processes, and maintain product integrity. The position also ensures quality certifications are in place, monitors past-due orders, and maintains accurate procurement data and KPIs. Additionally, the Senior Buyer supports audits, enforces procurement policies, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities, with strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office. What You'll Do Review and validate requisitions before issuing purchase orders Communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery timelines and commitments Resolve PO and invoice discrepancies with internal teams and vendors Ensure all shipments include required quality and certification documents Support customs and logistics issues with warehouse, brokers, and compliance teams Track past-due orders and maintain accurate delivery data in systems Collaborate with receiving to ensure product integrity and documentation Maintain procurement data, KPIs, and support audit activities Drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to procurement policies Responsibilities Support audit activities by preparing and providing required documentation Partner with auditors to deliver accurate and timely objective evidence upon request Track, maintain, and report on departmental KPIs Ensure the accuracy and integrity of procurement data within internal systems Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all procurement processes Monitor and enforce compliance with procurement policies and procedures Promote a strong safety culture while supporting ongoing operational improvements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Finance or equivalent of education 5+ Years of experience Experience of BioPharma and or Material Science Required Skills Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Preferred Skills Experience in Oracle JDE or SAP, a plus Pay range and compensation package
Salary:
$80,000-$115,000 annually. Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and internal equity. This is an onsite role in Oceanside, CA.
