Saddle Point is a merchandise studio and 3PL based in Ventura, California. We design, produce, and ship branded products for creative companies and cultural teams by combining the creativity of a studio with the accuracy of an operations group. Our studio develops thoughtful, design-led merchandise programs across apparel, accessories, office, and lifestyle goods, all supported by an in-house logistics operation that manages storage, kitting, and fulfillment. Our work spans both off-the-shelf products, which we brand and customize for clients, and fully developed items created in partnership with factories and makers. Across both sides, we lead with reliability, attention, and care, ensuring every product and shipment reflects the same trust and follow-through that define how we work. Job description The Production & Sourcing Manager owns sourcing, costing, and product data across all Saddle Point studio programs. This role ensures every product is properly sourced, accurately costed, and supported by a reliable vendor network before production. Working closely with Creative and the Director of Production, this role validates feasibility, builds cost clarity, and maintains the systems that support product development and execution. It combines hands-on sourcing with ownership of the data and tools that drive pricing, vendor selection, and product decisions. This role is the backbone of production inputs—ensuring accurate information, strong vendor relationships, and clear cost visibility across all programs. Responsibilities Source vendors across apparel and merchandise based on quality, cost, capability, and lead time Build and maintain a vendor network (printers, manufacturers, decorators, suppliers) Request, compare, and evaluate quotes for consistency and competitiveness Track vendor capabilities, pricing history, lead times, and performance Develop a clear understanding of vendor strengths and limitations Costing & Feasibility Own product costing across all programs with accuracy and consistency Consolidate materials, production, decoration, and logistics into structured cost models Validate product feasibility with Design and the Director of Production before production Identify cost risks, margin pressure, and inefficiencies early Provide clean, organized inputs for estimates and client pricing Product & Data Systems Ownership Maintain product and costing databases across active and repeat programs Keep structured worksheets and internal tools clean and consistent Ensure all product data (materials, specs, decoration, packaging) is accurate and accessible Standardize how products, vendors, and costs are documented Continuously improve sourcing and costing systems Sampling & Vendor Validation Coordinate sampling requests, timelines, and revisions Evaluate samples with Design and the Director of Production Track vendor performance across sampling and production Ensure vendors are validated before full production Experience Background in sourcing, production, or product development (apparel or merchandise) Familiarity with materials, decoration methods, and manufacturing workflows Experience managing vendors and sourcing processes Strong organization and attention to detail Comfortable working in spreadsheets and structured systems Apparel Magic experience preferred Able to manage multiple projects with consistency and accuracy Profile•Apply Now
