From your first weeks, you will partner with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to shape the supplier portfolio, negotiate value-rich agreements, and build the systems and routines that keep production on schedule. A day in the life Translate business objectives into sourcing roadmaps that reduce total cost, strengthen quality, and de-risk critical categories. Map the supply market for high-precision parts, qualify domestic and international suppliers, and cultivate partnerships through structured QCDU (quality, cost, delivery, utilization) reviews. Negotiate multi‑year agreements that secure capacity, lock in performance, and align on continuous improvement targets. Lead procurement planning to support production schedules, customer commitments, and inventory goals using ERP/MRP and e‑procurement tools. Drive value engineering, supplier consolidation, and alternate-source development to optimize cost and resilience. Oversee supplier quality, reduce nonconformances, and standardize best practices across the value chain. Ensure adherence to ITAR, FAR, and DFARS requirements; partner with Legal/Compliance to structure contracts that meet industry standards. Develop risk playbooks for supply disruptions and geopolitical shifts; monitor and act on metal market trends and cost drivers. What you will bring Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master's preferred. 8-10 years in manufacturing, including 5+ years leading global suppliers and strategic sourcing initiatives. Success delivering results in strategic procurement, supplier quality leadership, and regulatory compliance for regulated industries. Expertise in precision manufacturing, quality systems, and end‑to‑end supply dynamics. Fluency in ERP/MRP and e‑procurement platforms; strong data analysis and project management capabilities. Skilled negotiator and problem solver; clear written and verbal communicator able to influence across functions. Insight into metal market movements and cost structures. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Occasional domestic and international travel, including air travel. Work environment Typical conditions are professional office and manufacturing support areas with generally moderate noise. Personal protective equipment may be required in certain production zones.
