Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Join our dedicated team at Home Love Construction in Clearwater, FL as a Purchasing Manager. We're at the forefront of the home renovation industry, transforming houses into dream homes. In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone for purchasing management, ensuring every project has the right materials at the right time. You will be getting quotes and ensuring that each purchased material is under budget and delivered within the correct timeline. Interacting with suppliers to our on-site teams, you will bring organizational expertise, a sharp eye for detail, and an ability to multitask.OBJECTIVES
Material Planning:
Identify, quantify, and order materials ensuring their timely availability for every renovation project.Budget Management:
Ensure materials are procured cost-effectively without compromising quality.Vendor Relationships:
Forge and nurture relationships with suppliers to guarantee reliable sourcing.Quality Assurance:
Maintain high standards, ensuring all materials meet or surpass industry benchmarks.Inventory Management:
Oversee material storage, balancing between shortages and surplus.
Timely Delivery:
Ensure that materials reach project sites in alignment with project schedules.COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of Materials:
Deep understanding of home renovation materials, their applications, and specifications.Negotiation Skills:
Skillfully negotiate with suppliers for the best prices and terms.Organizational Skills:
Manage diverse orders, stock levels, and deliveries seamlessly.Communication Skills:
Liaise effectively with both internal teams and external partners.Problem-Solving:
A ddress material-related challenges swiftly and effectively.Technological Proficiency:
Navigate inventory management software and other relevant tech tools with ease.
Teamwork:
Collaborate effectively, understanding the interconnectedness of roles.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- GED or high school diploma is mandatory.
- 2 years of experience in construction or building material management is essential.
