Purchasing Manager - Melbourne, FL Position Summary We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to support a growing homebuilding operation in the Melbourne market. This individual will be responsible for managing trade partner relationships, negotiating contracts, analyzing costs, and ensuring homes are built efficiently and profitably. This is an excellent opportunity for a Construction Project Manager, Land Development Project Manager, or Operations professional looking to transition into a Purchasing leadership role within homebuilding. Key Responsibilities Manage bidding, estimating, and contract negotiations with trade partners and suppliers. Analyze construction costs and identify value-engineering opportunities. Maintain and update budgets, scopes of work, and pricing agreements. Develop strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Support community launches, new product implementation, and cost forecasting. Partner closely with Construction, Land Development, Sales, and Division leadership. Monitor market conditions and material pricing trends. Ensure purchasing processes align with company goals for quality, cycle time, and profitability. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in homebuilding, construction management, land development, purchasing, or related operations. Strong understanding of residential construction methods and costs. Experience managing subcontractors, budgets, schedules, or vendor relationships.
