Job Description
We are seeking a proactive Purchasing Supervisor in Miami to oversee inventory replenishment and vendor relations for a manufacturing company. You will be responsible for analyzing reorder points, managing POs within the SteelPro system, and conducting weekly warehouse audits to ensure stock accuracy, with a specialized focus on monitoring long-lead-time imports. This role requires a skilled negotiator capable of securing volume discounts and a diligent coordinator who can bridge the gap between sales and logistics by providing real-time lead updates and accurate material receiving. High SchoolResponsibilitiesPurchasing & Stock Management Replenishment:
Issues POs for stock items and analyzes reorder points/quantities to ensure optimal levels.Inventory Control:
Performs weekly warehouse walkthroughs and inventory list reviews. Updates stock records every 9 months and alerts management to slow-moving items (9+ months idle).Special Orders:
Researches pricing, packaging, and lead times for non-stock items; places POs immediately upon sales requests.Critical Monitoring:
Closely tracks ABM screw inventory due to extended Taiwan lead times.System Operations & Logistics Tracking:
Manages all pending POs in SteelPro, ensuring delivery by promise dates.Receiving:
Promptly receives material into the system, adjusts quantities, and generates new part numbers as required.Communication:
Provides lead time updates to sales and notifies them immediately upon material receipt.Reporting:
Follows EOM closing procedures and advises Sales/AP regarding vendor credits.Vendor & Internal Relations Negotiation:
Regularly engages with vendors to secure better pricing and volume discounts.Inter-company Trade:
Manages sales to Allsteel domestic and processes direct shipments to ALLFLL.Support:
Participates in monthly physical inventory counts and provides backup for the sales and logistics teams.
