In this pivotal role, you will oversee sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, estimates and purchase options, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely acquisition of quality materials and services. Your expertise will help optimize procurement processes, improve cost efficiencies, and support our construction/project goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence supply chain strategies and contribute to the overall success of our organization. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with company objectives, focusing on sourcing, category management, and supplier management. Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations. Manage procurement activities to streamline purchasing workflows, materials management, and production planning. Conduct root cause analysis to identify supply chain issues, resolve procurement bottlenecks, and enhance process efficiencies. Oversee supplier performance evaluations, maintain strong supplier relationships, and implement continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain management. Collaborate with preconstruction and project teams to align procurement activities with production schedules, logistics requirements, and quality standards. Monitor market trends and conduct sourcing activities to identify new suppliers, GPO's or alternative materials that can reduce costs and mitigate risks. Experience Proven experience in procurement management within construction environments. Extensive knowledge of estimating/takeoffs, procurement, materials management, and supply chain operations. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous contracts while maintaining supplier relationships. Familiarity with procurement best practices including sourcing strategies, and contract management.
