20-30 mins South of Chicago, IL About the Opportunity MRA is assisting one of its valued members in recruiting for a confidential Procurement Manager position. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization in a hands-on leadership role with strong cross-functional collaboration. Position Overview The Procurement Manager will oversee day-to-day purchasing operations while actively contributing as an individual contributor. This is a hands-on role responsible for sourcing, supplier management, and internal coordination across departments The position includes a direct report and requires a leader who can provide clear direction, foster collaboration, and drive efficiency across the procurement function. Key Responsibilities Manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and sourcing strategies Provide guidance and direction to one direct report Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on materials, timelines, and priorities Lead entity-to-entity collaboration, ensuring seamless communication across business units and partners Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with vendors Monitor inventory levels, supply chain risks, and market conditions Identify cost savings opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery standards Maintain strong communication across operations, engineering, and leadership teams Qualifications 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience Prior experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or cabling environments required Proven ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment Strong leadership skills with experience providing direction to team members Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Experience collaborating across multiple entities, departments, or business units Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills Why This Role Opportunity to make a direct impact in a growing organization Hands-on role with both strategic and operational responsibilities Collaborative environment with cross-functional exposure Leadership responsibility with a small, focused team
