Purchasing Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Purchasing Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships while ensuring efficient logistics coordination and cost-effective procurement strategies In this vital role, you will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management processes to ensure the timely acquisition of quality materials and services. Your expertise will drive efficiency, cost savings, and continuous improvement across manufacturing and logistics functions. Responsibilities Overall sourcing, negotiation and procurement of raw material/components with goal to balance quality, price, delivery and service to meet business targets and be in conformance to purchasing policies and procedures. Utilizing Epicor's management reports by performing moderate to complex analyses to determine monthly purchasing requirements. Issuing Epicor PO"s to suppliers. Maintaining open PO's by updating any supplier changes in Epicor. Maintaining supplier pricing within Epicor. Maintaining product profiles within Epicor. Work with suppliers to maintain a good relationship, resolve any purchase orders discrepancies and to resolve quality issues. Maintain the set goals on fill levels, inventory turns, and inventory levels. Assesses and evaluates life of inventory; review and analyze metrics and prepare reports on a regular basis. Performs sales RFQ's on a timely basis. Performs data entry on purchase orders. Maintains estimated delivery time in Epicor. Close collaboration with the Forecast Specialist to discuss anticipated demand and Collaborate with other departments and relevant business leads to resolve out of stock or stock shortage issues. Escalate issues that exceed thresholds. Provide input toward continuous improvement and operational excellence. Review exception reports. Working with Quality to develop, implement and maintain a supplier evaluation system to ensure continuous supplier improvement is attained. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or a combination of experience and education. Advanced Microsoft Excel required. Previous ERP System experience is preferable. Thorough knowledge of planning & procurement techniques. Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Ability to work in team-oriented work environment. Ability to use and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel. Familiarity with and ability to demonstrate planning, procurement, supply chain and program management metrics. Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish) preferred
