In this role, you will direct and secure our entire supply chain, manage raw material inventory systems, and oversee vendor relations. As a key bridge between our operations and manufacturing departments, the ideal candidate must be highly analytical, experienced with ERP inventory systems, and fully bilingual in both Korean and English to coordinate effectively with executive leadership and production team in Korea.
Key Responsibilities Procurement & Material Management:
Monitor stocking levels and execute high-volume purchase orders for standard and custom raw materials (sheet, plate, and tube metal stock) optimizing for market pricing and production lead times.
Vendor & Contract Relations:
Research and evaluate suppliers. Negotiate terms, pricing structures, and manage external facility infrastructure service contracts (maintenance, utilities, logistics). Conduct quarterly vendor strategic reviews.
Inbound Logistics & Quality Control:
Supervise physical receiving inspections of incoming shipments to verify quantities, surface quality, and material certifications. Handle freight damage claims and return material authorizations (RMAs).
Inventory Auditing:
Maintain and audit the master data within our automated warehouse storage system. Lead monthly cycle counts and comprehensive annual physical inventory audits to reconcile data discrepancies.
Financial Reconciliation:
Coordinate with the accounting department to cross-reference and reconcile supplier invoices against original purchase orders and packing lists.
Cross-Functional Team Support:
Train and supervise receiving/warehouse staff. Provide backup operational coverage in the warehouse and receiving docks when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills Language:
fluent/bilingual in Korean and English (written and verbal communication).
Experience:
1-2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing, steel center, or heavy industrial environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficient with ERP/MRP manufacturing software systems, inventory data management, and Microsoft Office (Excel).
Skills:
Strong negotiation, cost-analysis, material inspection, and cross-departmental communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to maintain operational readiness around a manufacturing warehouse environment.
Pay:
$60,000.00 per year
