This critical role is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels and mitigating supply chain risk. The Work You'll Do:
Perform timely updates to the vendor/supplier database Monitor Purchase Orders for real time data Identify and resolve cost and quantity discrepancies Oversee ordering of office supplies, raw materials, and other needed items Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors; Measure the vendor and supplier cost, quality and delivery performance Solve cost, quality and delivery concerns Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply Introduce performance improvement measures for suppliers and vendors Collaborate with relevant departments to discuss inventory requirements Facilitate timely placement of item ordering Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance with organizational policy and procedures Monitor and reduce purchase variances Produce regular reports on purchase commitments, costs and delivery performance Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes in line with changing organizational needs and market conditions Supervise the company returns process to ensure timeliness and accuracy
What We Need From You :
Exceptional organization skills with a proven track record of efficient time management Advanced written and verbal communication skills Dedication to diagnosing and delivering tailored solutions to fulfill customer needs Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel Analytical thinking with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and execute solutions Steadfast commitment to achieving results
Education & Experience:
2-3 years of administrative or purchasing experience 1+ years of management experience
Physical Requirements:
Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, and pulling Frequently handling/grasping documents or office equipment Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time Clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively Vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data Repetitive motion for computer equipment use Requires exertion of force of 25 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and/or 5 pounds continuously to lift/carry/move objects, files, and documents
