Procurement Multi-Family Manager Company:
The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level K) to join our Space Launch Systems (SLS) Program in New Orleans, Louisiana.Position Responsibilities:
Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools Manages, develops and motivates employeesBoeing First-Line Leader Assessment:

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership" More than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer More than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance More than 5 years of experience in constructing/building and providing reports and presentation material as needed for assigned projects or Leadership review Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher More than 5 years leading cross-functional and/or project teams More than 5 years of experience managing supplier performance More than 3 years of experience with proposal support and development More than 5 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services More than 5 years of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)Typical Education/Experience:
Typically 10 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.Conflict of Interest:
