This is a strong opportunity for someone with deep experience in public or municipal procurement who enjoys building supplier relationships, managing complex contract portfolios, and delivering high-level customer service in a collaborative, results-driven environment. This role will manage contracts through the full procurement lifecycle, support supplier and member relationships, and help identify opportunities to strengthen offerings based on purchasing needs and spend patterns. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of contracts through the full public procurement lifecycle Develop and oversee RFPs, bid openings, evaluations, and contract awards Ensure all procurement activity is compliant with Massachusetts public purchasing laws, including M.G.L. c. 30B, 30/39M, and 149 Monitor supplier and contract performance and use data to recommend improvements and guide business decisions Partner internally to identify opportunities to expand contract portfolios in alignment with member needs and buying trends Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, members, and internal stakeholders Serve as a liaison to suppliers to help ensure goods and services are delivered on time and in compliance with contract terms Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field • MCPPO certification•preferred 10+ years of public procurement experience, ideally in a municipal, government, or public-sector setting Strong knowledge of Massachusetts procurement laws and municipal finance practices Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office and database tools Advanced Excel skills preferred What Our Client Is Looking For A strong customer-service mindset and a commitment to supporting members, suppliers, and internal teams Integrity, fairness, and sound professional judgment Confidence to bring forward new ideas and improve existing processes Analytical ability, with the skill to turn data into meaningful business insight A self-starter who is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Someone who enjoys growing portfolios, driving results, and building long-term partnerships Compensation and Benefits Our client offers a competitive compensation package that includes: Competitive salary plus bonus opportunity Health, dental, and life insurance with generous employer contribution 403(b) with company match Strong paid time off program Collaborative team environment in a beautiful, newer office setting #IND123
