The Company:
- Manufacturing organization operating multiple production facilities and field/design locations
- Focused on operational excellence, inventory discipline, and vendor performance

- Collaborative environment connecting manufacturing, sales, and field operations
The Role:
Leads inventory management and purchasing strategy to ensure accurate stock levels and reliable support for production needs. Drives vendor performance improvements while reducing quality issues and lead times. Optimizes inventory investment by improving turnover and minimizing excess stock. Negotiates sourcing, pricing, and payment terms while overseeing procurement of direct, indirect, and MRO materials. Builds scalable processes, aligns cross-functional teams, and supports operations across multiple locations with minimal travel.Key Competencies, Qualifications & Must-Have:
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams across all organizational levels
- 8+ years of experience with ERP, MRP, and/or WMS systems
- 5+ years in inventory management or purchasing within a manufacturing or inventory-intensive environment
- Experience managing at least $3M in average monthly inventory value
- Background in organizations with $15M+ in revenue
- Experience managing 2,000+ SKUs
- Strong Microsoft O365 skills, including advanced Excel capabilities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must live within commuting distance of Pittsfield, ME
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to build strong working relationships with leadership and peers
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with ERP systems such as Sage, MAS-90, Great Plains, or JD Edwards
- Salesforce CRM experience
- Experience managing inventory across multiple locations and states
- Experience in organizations with $30M+ in revenue
