Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing / Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities across the organization. This role will be responsible for issuing and managing purchase orders, negotiating with vendors to secure favorable terms, overseeing supplier performance, and supporting cross-functional procurement needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to build lasting vendor relationships while ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Issue, manage, and track purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services in a timely and accurate manner. Lead vendor sourcing and negotiations to obtain the best possible pricing, terms, and quality. Evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure reliability, quality, and compliance with company standards. Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements and production timelines. Monitor inventory levels and anticipate future purchasing needs based on forecasts and demand planning. Resolve procurement-related issues, including delivery delays, order discrepancies, and quality concerns. Maintain accurate and organized procurement records and documentation. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements to drive efficiency. Support global purchasing initiatives, including issuing POs and coordinating with international vendors.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Proficiency with procurement and ERP systems; experience with PO management tools is essential. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred.
