DIRECTOR OF PURCHASING

Rochester Hills, MI Our client, a highly respected and growing employee-owned manufacturing organization in the Rochester Hills area, is seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing to lead a large-scale procurement operation supporting a complex, fast-moving manufacturing environment. The Director of Purchasing will oversee a purchasing operation managing approximately $70M-$80M in annual spend, 99+ product categories, and nearly 10,000 SKUs while leading and developing a team of purchasing professionals.

Strategic sourcing and supplier management Forecasting and inventory optimization Maintaining exceptional fill-rate performance Data-driven purchasing and process improvement Team leadership and development Cross-functional collaboration with supply chain, finance, and operations Procurement analytics utilizing JD Edwards and SQL tools Ideal candidates will bring: 10+ years of purchasing and supply chain experience Leadership experience managing purchasing teams Strong forecasting and inventory planning expertise ERP experience, with JD Edwards highly attractive Experience managing large procurement portfolios Strong analytical and operational leadership capabilities Manufacturing experience within machining and metals environments preferred Our client offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package including strong healthcare coverage, 401(k) match, parental leave, PTO, and a highly engaged culture where employees are genuinely appreciated. $140,000 - $185,000 salary, depending upon experience
