Position Summary:
The Commodity Manager will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for key commodities within a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, vendor selection, negotiating contracts, and ensuring supply continuity to support aggressive production and growth targets.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with business objectives. Manage the entire supplier contract life cycle—drafting, negotiating, implementation and adherence. Lead supplier negotiations related to contracts, pricing, inventory levels, and other key commercial terms to optimize cost and supply continuity. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to support new product introductions and design changes. Drive cost reduction initiatives, VAVE efforts and supplier performance improvements. Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, pricing, and performance metrics.Qualifications & Requirements:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Supply Chain/Operations/Engineering) 7+ years in a strategic sourcing role within a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and commodity management principles Proven ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and cost targets. Contract Negotiation experience (MSA, MOU, Inventory, Commodity, Currency, etc.) Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.Preferred:
CPSM / APICS / CSCP
/Lean Six Sigma Key Competencies:
Strong negotiation and influencing ability. Deep knowledge of supplier contracts and appropriate terms. Supplier relationship management and performance improvement ability. Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive informed decisions. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment and manage multiple priorities. Autonomous mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Benefits:
