Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for procurement activities, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services aligns with organizational requirements and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process for goods and services, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify procurement needs and develop effective strategies.
- Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
- Monitor supplier performance and build strong relationships to ensure consistent delivery of goods.
- Oversee purchasing activities for health information management systems, including EHR platforms and related technologies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and invoices.
- Utilize systems such as McKesson, IBM AS/400, and Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) to support procurement operations.
- Conduct market research to identify cost-effective and high-quality options.
- Maintain detailed records of purchases, contracts, and supplier interactions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process. Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within health information management.
- Familiarity with systems such as McKesson, IBM AS/400, and AHLTA.
- Strong knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.
- Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and contracts.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
