Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for procurement activities, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services aligns with organizational requirements and standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the procurement process for goods and services, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify procurement needs and develop effective strategies.
  • Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
  • Monitor supplier performance and build strong relationships to ensure consistent delivery of goods.
  • Oversee purchasing activities for health information management systems, including EHR platforms and related technologies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and invoices.
  • Utilize systems such as McKesson, IBM AS/400, and Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) to support procurement operations.
  • Conduct market research to identify cost-effective and high-quality options.
  • Maintain detailed records of purchases, contracts, and supplier interactions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process. Requirements
  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within health information management.
  • Familiarity with systems such as McKesson, IBM AS/400, and AHLTA.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.
  • Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
