Job Description

Location Omaha, Nebraska, United States of America Category Supply Chain & Manufacturing Job Id Req-038004 Job Type Full time Office Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for Conagra Brands direct physical dairy procurement at competitive prices while meeting quality, quantity, and delivery requirements. You will lead dairy purchasing activities, support cost savings and working capital initiatives, forecast material costs, and build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Build category strategies for assigned dairy materials or services that follow approved buying programs and meet internal customer needs. Oversee dairy procurement activities from intent to purchase through delivery. Contract raw milk with dairy patrons supporting the Menomonie plant. Partner with dairy market analysts to understand market trends and communicate financial coverage positions to the Risk group. Negotiate complex requests for materials or services. Prepare contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements to ensure legal correctness, pricing accuracy, and alignment to specifications. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and external suppliers. Recruit and manage suppliers that deliver high‑quality products and services at competitive prices while upholding the highest ethical standards. Review and resolve vendor claims and contracts in accordance with company policy. Support manufacturing locations by identifying and resolving material supply risks. Ensure enterprise procurement initiatives are implemented across assigned brands and plants. Guide data gathering and risk and reward analysis for purchasing bids and specification change initiatives. Deliver accurate monthly material forecasts and communicate changes in material costs and market drivers to internal partners. Ingredients Required for Your Success Bachelor's degree. Seven or more years of experience in purchasing or supply chain. Demonstrated strengths in communication, analytics, project management, and conflict resolution. Proven experience delivering significant cost savings through strategic cost reduction initiatives. Strong understanding of market economics, logistics, and technical considerations with independent value analysis experience. Negotiation and contract development experience. Knowledge of material requirements planning. Intermediate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, commodity and risk management systems, contract management systems, and Power BI. Compensation Pay Range:
$107,000
  • 156,000 The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position.
An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.
