Purchasing Manager / Patera Landscaping Patera Landscaping is a successful, family-owned landscaping company specializing in softscape installations, patios, retaining walls, trees, and custom pools. We are known for delivering high-quality outdoor living spaces while providing exceptional customer service. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly organized and proactive Purchasing Manager to join our team. Position Overview The Purchasing Manager plays a critical role in ensuring projects have the materials, equipment, and supplies needed to stay on schedule and within budget. This position works closely with production managers, project managers, vendors, and suppliers to coordinate purchasing activities, maintain inventory levels, negotiate pricing, and support efficient project execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, skilled at building vendor relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced team environment. Responsibilities Purchase materials, and supplies according to project and production schedules Coordinate with project managers and production teams to anticipate material needs Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers Negotiate competitive pricing and favorable terms Request and compare quotes to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed Track deliveries and ensure materials arrive on time for scheduled projects Resolve vendor issues, shortages, and delivery discrepancies Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation Assist with budgeting and cost-control initiatives Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for improved purchasing efficiency Qualifications Previous purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or supply chain experience preferred Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience in landscaping, construction, or related industries is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Supportive family-owned company culture Long-term career growth opportunities Collaborative team environment The opportunity to play a key role in the success of a growing company If you are a motivated professional who enjoys building relationships, finding value, and ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish, we'd love to hear from you.
