Our organization is dedicated in delivering high quality products and services to our customers. We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our growing procurement team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in sourcing strategic suppliers, optimizing the supply chain, and ensuring cost effective purchasing decisions.
Job Overview:
As a Purchasing Manager with a strong sourcing background, you will manage the procurement of goods and services for Kalwall Corporation, focusing on strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that we must meet our operational goals while maintaining quality standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Hire, train, and oversee buyers and set departmental goals and standards. Lead sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, and risk mitigation. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives. Identify and evaluate new suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing. Manage and monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and compliance with contracts. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on sourcing requirements. Analyze market trends and forecast future purchasing needs to ensure adequate inventory levels. Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures while driving continues improvement in sourcing processes. Manage supplier contract, including terms and conditions, renewals, and performance reviews. Prepare and present sourcing strategies, savings, and vendor performance reports to senior management. Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or buying, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong negotiation skills with proven success in vendor management and cost reduction. Experience in developing and executing sourcing strategies across multiple categories. Indepth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier relationship management, and market analysis. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing priorities. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
