Accepting Candidates About the Role We are seeking an experienced Buyer to support procurement activities for defense and aerospace programs. This position will be responsible for sourcing materials and services, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with federal procurement regulations including FAR and DFARS. The ideal candidate will have prior procurement experience within a government contractor, defense, or aerospace environment. Key Responsibilities Procurement Planning Partner with program managers and stakeholders to develop procurement strategies Determine sourcing requirements and procurement schedules Support material availability and program execution objectives Solicitation & Supplier Management Develop and issue: RFPs RFQs RFIs Evaluate supplier capabilities and performance Conduct supplier assessments and negotiations Perform cost and price analysis activities
Contract Negotiation Negotiate:
Pricing Lead Times Terms & Conditions Ensure compliance with:
FAR DFARS
Government procurement requirements Support supplier performance improvement initiatives Compliance & Documentation Maintain procurement documentation and records Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations Support audits and contract administration activities Track supplier performance and procurement metrics Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in: Supply Chain Management Business Administration Procurement Related field Experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or government contracting environments Strong understanding of:
FAR DFARS
Experience negotiating supplier contracts Experience with procurement and ERP systems Strong communication and supplier management skills Preferred Qualifications Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) familiarity Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) DoD procurement experience Government contractor experience Cost and price analysis experience Compensation $40-42/hr W2
