Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM Position Summary Brian Trematore Plumbing & Heating, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Purchasing Manager to oversee purchasing operations, inventory control, warehouse personnel, and company fleet administration. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the plumbing industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage material procurement and distribution across multiple job sites. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our field teams receive the materials and equipment they need to keep projects running efficiently and on schedule. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPurchasing & Material Management Purchase plumbing materials, tools, equipment, and supplies for multiple active job sites. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing when appropriate. Track and manage all purchase orders from creation through delivery. Coordinate deliveries to various project locations and ensure materials arrive on schedule. Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed. Research and source alternative products and vendors when necessary. Warehouse Operations Oversee daily warehouse operations and maintain organization of all inventory. Delegate tasks and supervise warehouse personnel to ensure efficiency and productivity. Coordinate receiving, stocking, staging, and distribution of materials. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory audits. Ensure warehouse cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company policies. Fleet & Asset Management Maintain and update company vehicle records. Track vehicle registrations, license plates, inspections, insurance policies, and EZ Pass accounts. Coordinate renewals and ensure all documentation remains current. Maintain records of company equipment and assets. Leadership & Administration Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and vendors. Assist with scheduling material deliveries and logistics. Maintain detailed purchasing and inventory reports. Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and reduce costs. Support company operations with additional administrative and warehouse-related duties as needed. QualificationsRequired Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, warehouse management, or materials management within the plumbing industry. Strong knowledge of plumbing materials, equipment, fittings, and construction processes. Experience managing purchase orders and coordinating deliveries to multiple job sites. Proven leadership experience supervising warehouse personnel. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Forklift certification or the ability to become certified. Ability to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory/purchasing software. Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities. Preferred Experience working for a plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical contracting company. Knowledge of construction project logistics and material planning. Familiarity with fleet management and vehicle compliance requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform warehouse-related activities throughout the day.
